11-year-old single malt from Glenallachie, distilled in 2012 and matured in a host of oloroso sherry casks. The whisky was independently released by Signatory without added colour or chill filtration for the eighth edition of its Small Batch collection.
Cinnamon sticks, juicy apples and honeyed sultanas, with biscuity malt beneath.
Ripe apples with a touch of woody spice lead the way to zesty orange peels and fruit-studded vanilla sponge.
Clementine, stewed stone fruits, a smidge of clove.
A fantastic dram for a great price. Traditional Glenallachie style with strong sherry flavour. I'll definitely be buying this again at that price.
