Glen Spey 21 Year Old 1997 (cask 15029) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
Sherried single malt from the Glen Spey distillery, drawn from a single cask. The whisky was distilled in January 1997 and left it to mature in a sherry hogshead until April 2018, when it was bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask. Just 307 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sultana, cinnamon and toasted brioche.
Palate
Lots of jammy red berry notes, paired with thick vanilla and honey.
Finish
Subtle herbal bitterness develops underneath rose and sherried orange peel.
