A single cask Glen Spey, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. This was distilled in December 1997 and filled into a refill hogshead to mature for 18 years, and was bottled in September 2016 with an outturn of 328 bottles.
Juicy tropical fruit and apple crumble, with a touch of basil leaf.
Oak warmth begins to develop on the palate, with lingering pear and blueberry.
Malty and sweet.
We managed to finish one of these in just over a weekend! Loved every drop and for the money!! Awesome :-)
