A single cask Highland malt from the Glen Ord distillery. This was distilled in Autumn 2004 and aged for 7 years in a refill hogshead before bottling in Autumn 2011 for Douglas Laing's Provenance range.
Sweet and creamy, notes of barley grist and cedar greet the nose. Quite perfumed.
Medium-to-full palate with sweet spice, vanilla, chamomile tea and maple syrup. A development of pepper comes late palate.
Long and fruity with orange zest on the tail.
