Glen Moray 21 Year Old 1997 (cask 17201) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
A single cask indie Glen Moray, distilled over in Speyside back in October 1997. It was left to mature in a single refill barrel for just over two decades, and was bottled in just before its 22nd birthday in September 2019! The barrel yielded 221 bottles at 50% ABV, released as part of the Old Malt Cask series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh hay, white flowers and a touch of orange blossom, with apple crumble.
Palate
Ground almonds, with pear tart and toffee sauce, lots of vanilla and herbaceous oak.
Finish
Drying and spiced, with a touch of pepper and oak.
