Well-sherried single malt from Glen Moray, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. This one was aged in a single sherry puncheon from November 2008 to November 2018, then bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 596 bottles. It features an aptly dark label to match the rich mahogany hue of the whisky itself.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chocolate tart and Christmas cake, with a hint of orange oil cutting through.
Palate
Cooked raspberries and blackberries, rye bread with marmalade, Golden Syrup cake.
Finish
Clove and cinnamon stick around on the spicy finish.
