Absolutely wonderful stuff, well balanced on the palate that leans more to the vanilla side, that has a finish that is a little thin, but knew that coming in at 43%ALC, that in no way distracts from this quality product. This may seem a bit odd, but as a Scotch I feel the best way to describe this bottle is that has somewhat of a Irish Whiskey taste and feel to it at times, all around a highly recommended whiskey.

    Faultless

A wonderfully crafted drink. I do not tend to find much of interest in a Speyside, but this contains the depth, character and complexity of any Islay.

    Superb balance

After over a decade of drinking whisky, I finally understood what a fruit-driven scotch is. And this one is superbly well balanced. 4.25 points

    Good but not great

Reminds me of Tullibardine 20, I found it light to medium bodied, a bit too sweet for my taste. Yes very smooth medium-long finish. Flavor notes were vanilla and cream, toffee and caramel. whipped cream. Like a tasting at a sweet shop in Scotland. Whisky of the year though? Did this guy try Talisker Distiller's edition or just about anything from Campbeltown lately? I will enjoy it for sure, but probably not deserving of any extreme accolades.

    Just buy it

Holy shit. Just buy it. First glass and now in love. Kept away from glen grant as the 10yr and usual run of mill sameness but the 18yr is def better than 18yr glendronnach and is defo something special
