Rum Finish

A very impressive bottle of 1986 vintage Glen Garioch, independently bottled and released by Douglas Laing as part of the Old & Rare Platinum range. The whisky saw a whopping 36 years of maturation in a single cask, with its final six months spent finishing in a rum cask. It was bottled in 2004 at cask strength, a punchy 55.9% ABV with an outturn of just 84 bottles.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
