Glen Garioch 25 Year Old 1993 (cask 12824) - Xtra Old Particular Platinum (Douglas Laing)
A rather decadent Glen Garioch single malt, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for the Xtra Old Particular Platinum range in celebration of the indie bottler's 70th Anniversary. It was distilled in July 1993 and finished in an ex-sherry cask before being bottled in August 2018. Just 303 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dense chocolate and rich oak, with jammy notes of fig in the background.
Palate
A bit toasty at first, before waves of coffee and cigar box appear.
Finish
Dried fruit, honey, clove, cinnamon and menthol.
