Glen Elgin 12yo #13778 Bottling Note

Single cask single malt all the way from the Glen Elgin Distillery in Speyside, bottled up by the brilliant Douglas Laing. This one was distilled in July 2007 and aged in a refill hogshead for 12 years, until it was bottled in January 2020 with an outturn of only 336 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Toasted teacakes, clove and ginger. Some blackberry sweetness lingering.

Palate: Slightly peppery and warming with barley and honey. Waxy citrus peels plus a touch of juicy apple.

Finish: Malty chocolate, vanilla pod and stem ginger once again.
