Girvan 52yo 1965 #13927 Bottling Note

Single grain Scotch whisky from the Girvan, aged for over half a century! Oh yes, those folks over at Hunter Laing got their hands on a 52 year old Girvan, matured in a single bourbon barrel from June 1965 to April 2018, and bottled it up for The Sovereign range. Just 166 bottles of this incredibly well-matured whisky were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fig, orange peel, a touch of floral perfume, cinnamon and anise.

Palate: Custard tart, runny honey, fruit cake, good Cognac.

Finish: Lingering herbaceous oak and dark coffee bitterness.
