Grain whisky that's half a century old! Just 153 bottles emerged from the single refill hogshead after this 50 year maturation (June 1965 to August 2015), each reserved for Douglas Laing's Extra Old Particular range of "Extraordinary", "Ridiculously Rare" whiskies.
Nose: Richly spiced toffee, which is what well matured grain is all about.
Palate: Interesting levels of wood spices, dark dates, peanut skin and treacle.
Finish: Cocoa and caramel with citrus hints.
