Girvan 26 Year Old 1989 (cask 11061) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Single cask Girvan single grain, matured for 26 years before Douglas Laing deemed it worthy of joining their Old Particular range. This was distilled in December 1989 and left to mature in a refill hogshead until February 2016, when it was bottled with an outturn of just 224 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oodles of traditional single grain character - brown sugar, honey, strawberry bonbons and a touch of spicy rye.
Palate
Rounded syrup and toffee, with hints of cinnamon and grist.
Finish
Subtly fruity on the finish with sultana, apricot and peach.
