Garnheath 42 Year Old 1974 (cask 11522) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

Independently bottled single grain Scotch whisky from the sadly closed Garnheath distillery, aged in a refill barrel for an impressive 42 years! It was distilled in February 1974 and bottled in November 2016 by Douglas Laing for the Xtra Old Particular range. A release of 162 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

A full, refreshing nose loaded with citrus peels and floral oak.

Palate

Vanilla ice cream sweetness develops on the palate. Still packed with orange zestiness.

Finish

Sugary and long, with a touch of oak-y tannins.
