The sixth release in Filey Bay’s annual Sherry Cask Reserve series, matured entirely in first-fill ex-oloroso casks and showing a spectacular natural colour. This edition leans into richer, darker flavours that complement the distillery’s naturally light and fruity character. A fittingly indulgent whisky for the end of the year.

I was given a bottle of this as a birthday present and it is lovely. Slips down easily leaving a syrupy mouth feel of black treacle and rich fruit. No initial harshness unlike some malts. I am really enjoying this so much so that when this bottle is finished I will buy more.
