Fettercairn 8 Year Old 2012 (cask 14663) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
A fab Fettercairn single malt, independently bottled up for the Provenance range by Douglas Laing. This whisky was distilled back in October 2012 and allowed eight years of rest in a refill hogshead until March 2012. A small release of 410 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Nutty barley with hints of almonds and macadamia nuts, dusted with brown sugar.
Palate
Malted milk biscuits and Jammie Dodgers, plus crumbly fudge.
Finish
Drying cinnamon and black pepper spiciness, plus crunchy barley.
