An indie bottling of Fettercairn, joining the excellent Douglas Laing Provenance range. This was aged for 8 years in a refill hogshead, from May 2008 to May 2016, before being bottled at 46% ABV.
Nose Grist and Riesen chocolate caramel sweeties. Slight hints of dried apricot and raisin.
Palate More dried fruits as it opens, with a little fragrant orange behind it. Touches of oak.
Finish Quite long, still showing off sweet orange notes.
