The folks at Signatory found a fabulous pair of casks for this bottling, filled with Fettercairn single malt! Distilled back in October 1995, the whisky spent 25 years maturing in two hogsheads, until it was eventually bottled up for the Cask Strength Collection in April 2021, at a bold 60.3% ABV. A total of 451 bottles were produced for this release.
Heaps of fruit with fresh green apples, a touch of tropical pineapple, and dried apricot, buttery shortbread, and waves of gingery spice.
The ginger continues alongside orange zest and plenty more fruity character. Spicy malt balances buttery oak with just a hint of ash.
Fruity berries, rich, sweet coffee notes appear with a sweet touch of honey and subtle leathery undertones.
