Fettercairn 20 Year Old 1997 (casks 5604 & 5605) - Un-Chillfiltered Collection (Signatory)
A Signatory bottling of 20 year old single malt from the Fettercairn distillery, drawn from a pair of hogshead casks that were laid down in October 1997. In February 2018, these two casks were cracked open and the whisky within was bottled without chill-filtration or additional colours.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Subtly vegetal at first with hints of cut grass and sugar-snap peas, followed by lime peel and custard.
Palate
Warming black pepper and new oak. Lemongrass, brown sugar, flint and a touch of honey.
Finish
Cassia bark, flaky pastry and apple skin.
