Unfortunately, we can't ship Fettercairn 19 Year Old 1997 (cask 5626 & 5627) - Un-Chillfiltered Collection (Signatory) to the United States at the moment, but we've got some friends who can.
A Signatory bottling of Fettercairn 19 year old single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in October 1997 and bottled in January 2017. After maturing in two hogshead casks for nearly 2 decades, this was bottled without any chill-filtration whatsoever.
Nose: Stonefruit and honey, with a touch of gingersnap thrown in for good measure.
Palate: Slightly earthy at first, but opens up with notes of white chocolate and fresh peach.
Finish: Vegetal cedar notes and crunchy brown sugar.

Gentle, sweet and interesting. Beautifully smooth.I'm often snobbish about 3rd party bottling agents and I reckon the distilleries typically know what they're doing. However, this is my 2nd Signatory bottling (first was a 19YO Glenallachie) and both have been great. Very competitively priced, compared to similarly aged single malts and really easy to drink. The 1st bottle didn't last so long and I don't think this one will, either.

Cask 5617. Very inexpensive for a 17 year old, but regardless a pleasant surprise. Light, floral and fresh fruit, clean, a long delicate finish, nothing in your face or peaty, refreshing comes to mind.
