16-year-old single malt from Fettercairn, distilled in 2007 and filled into a single hogshead to mature. In 2023, the cask was opened by Hunter Laing, independently releasing a total of 254 cask-strength bottles for The First Editions collection.
Sweet orchard fruits open the way, with juicy apples and pears, backed by zesty lemon peels.
Malted Milk biscuits are backed by earthy spice and charred oak, alongside layers of thick-cut marmalade.
A touch of coffee arrives for the finish, joined by crackles of fiery peppercorn heat, and trickles of runny toffee.
