Elijah Craig has long been a favourite bourbon of many whiskey enthusiasts - to the point where their stocks of 12 year old bourbon have been under a lot of pressure. The producers made the decision to discontinue the 12 Year Old expression and create this expression to take its place. It manages to maintain the incredibly high quality that Elijah Craig is known for, including the delicious core of cooked apple drizzled in honey notes. This expression has been well received, taking home not one but two San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold medals!
Honeycomb, fresh cedar, marmalade and some spicy cardamom seed.
Baked apples with a dusting of cinnamon, followed by fresh honey and cookie dough.
Lingering nutmeg and charred oak.

Many of the reviews here are out of touch. This is an inexpensive bottle - it's unlikely to be the BEST you've EVER had. But it's pretty great. Anyone who says it's too spicy hasn't tried the similarly priced WT101. This bourbon is a heck of a bargain, and it's one that will always be in my liquor cabinet.
First taste is more harsh than I expected. This may be due to the high alcohol volume (47%). I was hoping for something more sweet. Still a very bold, spiced taste. Not as nice as I hoped.
Very smooth with an excellent taste. I prefer this over any other bourbon and quite inexpensive
Personally I had trouble noticing any honey notes throughout, and even though it’s only $25 in Utah I’d much rather pay an extra $5 for Knob Creek small batch which is a higher proof and a lot smoother.
Has an incredibly addictive aroma. The honeycomb really comes through!
