Elijah Craig has long been a favourite bourbon of many whiskey enthusiasts - to the point where their stocks of 12 year old bourbon have been under a lot of pressure. The producers made the decision to discontinue the 12 Year Old expression and create this expression to take its place. It manages to maintain the incredibly high quality that Elijah Craig is known for, including the delicious core of cooked apple drizzled in honey notes. This expression has been well received, taking home not one but two San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold medals!
Honeycomb, fresh cedar, marmalade and some spicy cardamom seed.
Baked apples with a dusting of cinnamon, followed by fresh honey and cookie dough.
Lingering nutmeg and charred oak.

Having read the reviews I was looking forward to a subtle, complex experience. Unfortunately this wasn't it. Just another bourbon despite the hype.
As with many bourbons, this one's entry is very strong with corn upon entry but that doesn't last too long as it sits on the lips & tongue with a generous lingering spicy oak flavor nicely complemented by a pleasant however gentle burn. I quite like it.
Surprised due to mixed reviews and expected a harsh burn I didn’t, I found this to be really good. The burn is there but not like 100 proof and above burn. Has great classic balanced bourbon flavours. I taste the honey, oak, apples and pears, nice hug and spice on the finish, cool bottle. Nice
Don’t like it very spicy better bourbons out there for sure
Ok so in the UK if you are lucky enough to find this it will run you about £45 (currently $56 ), which yeah it's ok but absolutely nothing special when I can get Woodford reserve for half the price.
