This indie Edradour was distilled on 1 December 2006 before it was bottled for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection by those charming folk at Signatory on 12 September 2017. Another success for this frequent collaboration, this Highland single malt features no additional colouring and, as promised, it was not chill-filtered.
Spicy oak tannin and cinnamon provide bite to the deep caramel and milk chocolate notes that lead. A little espresso is there too, along with a little dry barley.
Plums and dried apricots in layers of honey bring a succulent texture to the palate, which is lifted by tobacco, mocha and a subtle mineral-y element.
There's suggestions of honeyed cereal and oily caramel in a long and satisfying finish.
