DYC 8 Year Old Bottling Note

Spanish whisky! Not something you see every day, but the DYC brand has actually been around since the 1960s! DYC stands for Destilerías y Crianza, which resides in beautiful Spain, producing these rather enjoyable blended whiskies. This is their 8 year old expression, which matures in American oak casks.

DYC 8 Year Old Reviews

Pretty good for the price

Nothing special, but it's decent, and in Spain the bottle is typically 10-12€. For the price nothing beats it.

a pleasant surprise, a delightful little Spanish number

DYC's normal whiskey is usually a mixer for long summer drinks. DYC 8 year old should be treated with greater respect and for me represents a better experience than the 10 year old.

I will simply recommend that you pour some into a tumbler with an ice cube or two and see what you think.

Very drinkable

A nice light quaffing whisky, well suited to warmer climates. Not as complex as some more northern offerings but certainly nothing wrong with it. Enjoy!

Not too bad at all

Ok, I'd been on a weekender in Benidorm and had had a number of Cereveza, but thought would try the DYC for a nightcap. I don't know what I'd been expecting, but it was good, definitely worth a try and not only if you've had a skinful in Morgans Tavern
