Another marvellous release from Duncan Taylor's Octave series, which sees whiskies finished in a tiny octave cask. This particular expression is a 23 year old Beldorney blended malt (people who know a thing or two about teaspooned malts might recognise that name...), which was finished in an octave for six months. Just 84 bottles were released.
Iced buns with raspberry jam, mahogany, a touch of orange zest.
Lemon, apricot and green apple sharpness, mellowed by vanilla and resinous oak.
Earthy barley and vanilla on the finish.
