Dumbarton 31yo #15801

This single grain Scotch whisky was distilled in 1897 at the Dumbarton distillery, which was closed in 2002. After ageing in a single bourbon barrel for 31 patient years, this wonderfully rare whisky was bottled at cask strength by Hunter Laing for The Sovereign series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Sweet aromas of toasted marshmallow, creamy vanilla, melted white chocolate and caramel.

Palate Candied orange, toasted oak and honeyed cereal, with toasted almonds and salted caramel.

Finish Long and sweet, with lingering dry oak spices.
