Behold! A delightful and rare bottling of 31 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Dumbarton distillery! This Sovereign bottling from Hunter Laing contains whisky drawn from a single ex-bourbon barrel which was filled in 1987 and bottled in 2018 without any chill-filtration or additional colouring at a cask strength 44.1% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Brown sugar, creamy vanilla and fleshy stone fruit at first, with cinnamon and white pepper in the background.

    Palate

Warm toasted oak, fresh peeled grapefruit and zesty wood spices combine before honey softness and sweet tobacco leaves develop.

    Finish

Very long and smooth with more vanilla, drying spice and milk chocolate.
