Tailfire is one of two no age statement single malt Scotch whiskies released for the Singleton of Dufftown range in 2014 (the other being Sunray). In tune with the berry red label, the Tailfire is a fruit-laden expression, with a high proportion of the whisky coming from European Sherry casks.
Crisp apple, red grape, raspberry and candied orange peel all jump out. A grassy green note and Wensleydale & Cranberry maintain balance whilst a touch of tobacco develops over time.
Raspberry bush, more Wensleydale. Oats, vanilla and a hint of pepper.
Drying and hot (rod) with lip smacking fruitiness.
A vibrant, berried Singleton with enough depth to keep you interested.

Love it.Forme it's perfect.
Great dram for the money and brilliant for light whisky lovers...plus I got it in asda for £15 :-)
Just cracked a bottle from Christmas. Very impressed. Mild, fruity and with a pleasant after taste. Surprised no age statement though.
An excellent addition to the singleton range. A great one to introduce to new whisky drinkers Smooth easy on the palate great value Would willingly keep a couple of bottles in my cupboard.
A very smooth whisky, that has a fruity, spicy texture, but doesn't linger on the palate like most whiskies which is a shame because it is a nice whisky, but does get a tad boring.
