A straightforward, nutty and malty single malt from Speyside, the Singleton of Dufftown was released to replace the Singleton of Auchroisk. It’s aged in a high proportion of European oak casks.
If you're looking to use this little stunner in a cocktail, then you could do a lot worse than making a classic Highball. Or how about a signature Singleton serve?
Reach for the Peach
45ml of The Singleton
30ml of peach iced tea
90ml of soda water
Optional: 2 dashes of absinthe
Build all ingredients in an ice-filled Highball glass, give it a good stir, and garnish with a twist of lemon zest.
Malty with cereal/barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut.
Orange zest spiciness perks up a malty core of nuts, oak and toffee, hints of cut grass.
Oaky, rich with good length, some fruit lingers.

My wife and I bought a sampler pack which included a 5cl bottle of this. We got it just to try out for a one off new experience sort of thing. But we were seduced by this pleasant drinking 'winter warmer'. I would recommend this for those starting out on the Malt adventure. Its well rounded, tasty and nice finish. The other Malts in the sampler were strong with odd aftertastes [to us]. But we'll be returning to this one.
