This was distilled at Dufftown in March of 1982. It was aged for 30 years in a single sherry butt (number 8232) before bottling in March 2012 for Douglas Laing's Directors Cut range. A release of 189 bottles…
Nose: Dark and spiced. Prunes, dates, figs, potpourri, butterscotch, sherried peels, rhubarb.
Palate: Spiced and deep, with sherry, aniseed, liquorice, honey, toffee apples, rhubarb crumble. Charred oak.
Finish: Sweet, manuka honey, nutmeg.
