A great whisky with a handsome tawny hue. This was distilled at Dufftown in January of 1984 before a 27 year maturation in refill butt number 82. A release of 479 bottles, at natural cask strength from Signatory's Cask Strength Collection.
Chocolate biscuits, malt and spent matches. Cocoa and fresh espresso. Calves leather, a little gunpowder, stewed fruits and rum spice.
Intense and herbal, cut hay, Armagnac, prune juice and a little smoke, maple butter and cordite.
Oak-led finish with black pepper and maple spice.
