It's time to meet the beast – the Timorous Beastie, that is! Douglas Laing has created a limited edition bottling of it's Highland blended malt expression, featuring whiskies matured for at least 13 years before bottling. The whiskies were aged exclusively in American bourbon barrels, and it's been bottled up at 52.5% ABV. 3,000 bottles of this little beastie were produced. it takes its name from a Robbie Burns poem, but despite sounding small, it's by no means a shy dram!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Roasted nuts and flamed orange peel, with a backdrop of vanilla sponge.
Palate
Vanilla pod and spiced oak, plus layers of honeycomb and bruised apple.
Finish
Bold ginger and cassia, with a touch of smoke lingering.
