From Douglas Laing's Single Minded selection comes a 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from a secret (though particularly well-known) distillery in the Speyside region. This is a sweet, malty single malt, rich in brown sugar, sweet spices and a touch of citrus peel along the way.
Cinnamon rolls, sultanas drenched in spiced rum, a touch of Madeira cake.
Barley sugar sweets and more cake-y vanilla, backed up by dried fruit and ginger.
Biscuit-y malt with layers of strawberry jam and marzipan.

Exactly as the tasting notes from the front of the bottle described: Honey and vanilla, malt and sweet spices on the nose, sweet and citrus on the palate and a bit of peat in the finish. Only 4* as I have to admit, I'm not a massive fan of the peat in the finish. But great value for money as I grabbed it on offer.
