Description

A mystery Speyside single malt from Douglas Laing's Old Particular Fanatical About Flavour collection. This 10-year-old was matured in a single oloroso sherry cask before being bottled at a formidable natural cask strength of 64.5% ABV. Just 420 bottles were produced, without chill filtration or added colour.

Nose

Figs, sultanas and black cherries with treacle, dark fruitcake and tangy marmalade.

Palate

Stewed plums and sherry-soaked fruitcake lead into charred oak, black cherry and dark chocolate. Cocoa and coffee build underneath.

Finish

Dark chocolate, roasted coffee, orange zest and lingering dried fruit.
