Unfortunately, we can't ship Probably Orkney's Finest Distillery 12 Year Old 2007 (cask 14270) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing) to the United States at the moment, but we've got some friends who can.
A mysterious single malt here from Douglas Laing's Old Particular indie bottling range. No hints to which distillery produced it. Well, actually, there's one hint. It's from Orkney. Otherwise, no hints! The whisky was distilled back in October 2007, and aged in a refill hogshead for 12 years, before being bottled up in September 2020, with an outturn of 369 bottles.
Nose: Salted lemon, barley sugar sweeties, marzipan.
Palate: Still has a hint of almond to it, with fudge, vanilla, and just a touch of sea salt.
Finish: Hints of baking spice appears – nutmeg and allspice.
