Another wonderful Douglas Laing Double Barrel bottling, this time made with Bowmore single malt from the island of Islay and Inchgower single malt from Speyside. The Double Barrel bottlings are made with a single cask from each distillery, married together to create rather interesting blended malt Scotch whiskies.

Obviously Bowmore before it even reaches your lips - there's smoke, and horse stables, and leather (in a good way) so young B.M. In the mouth it changes to something floral, brighter and difficult to grasp - very nice, smokey & bitter, certainly not rich or sweet. And yes... there is something coastal here. Yes - its excellent. But very difficult to pin down. Might be better given more time to combine?
A fun two cask whisky - the marriage really works. Great contrast in flavour.
