It's the 2016 edition of Douglas Laing's Big Peat at Christmas! An annual festive treat from the cracking indie bottler, Big Peat at Christmas expressions are bottled at cask strength, but this year's edition is a little different to the previous ones - it features whiskies from every active distillery on the Isle of Islay, as well as from the closed Port Ellen distillery!

Nose
Big waves of sea breeze and toasted barley, with a hint of soot in the mix too.
Palate
Intense peat smoke all the way through, with a few bright bursts of juicy pineapple and white grape.
Finish
Warming maritime notes last and last.
