A special vatted/blended malt from Douglas Laing. This Double Barrel features a single cask of both Macallan and Laphroaig! Very interesting, we love it.

The Macallan adds nicely to the big peat of the Laphroaig. Its really like the best bottle of Laphroaig you ever had, and almost as good as the 16 year old Lagavulan. For an Islay scotch lover it is a real treat.
Superb blend of two malts-titans!
As pointed on the bottle this one is rather unusual blend between the sophisticated Macallan and the rather punchy Laphroaig. Out of such a combination it is not surprising that the Laphroaig peaks over, while the Macallan ads the the fruit and some freshness. Oily round the glas with smoky nose, strong on the palate and subtle on the finish, leaving dark chocolate film. Whisky with a character, maybe even two.
