Indie Dalmore right here! Distilled in 2016, this single malt was treated to a 10-year stay in a single bourbon barrel. The cask was opened by James Eadie in 2026, independently releasing a total of 556 bottles for the Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland collection.
Dalmore produce great spirit but yih wouldn't know it from most of the distillery releases that hide it behind multiple finishes. This is nice and clean, and actually tastes like whisky rather than sherry or wine.
For the first time in 40 years I have had the pleasure of tasting a true single malt. The last was a 12 year old single malt Tormore from 1980. This is an exceptional Whisky, with a gorgeous aroma, one which you know will be so smooth as you drink it. No burning sensation just a smooth splendid drink. The art of drinking a Scotch Wishky just got so much better.
