A fabulous single cask Dalmore, distilled in April 1990 and aged in sherry butt DL7152 for 21 years before bottling in August of 2011. This comes from Douglas Laing's wonderful Director's Cut range, and there are just 297 bottles of the stuff…
Custard, stewed rhubarb, barley sugar, cinnamon and golden syrup. A little toasted almond.
Fruity and spiced. Cinnamon bagels, Seville marmalade and treacle.
Dry and spiced, a little star anise and coffee.

This whisky suprised me as it has a different flavour and taste to the other Dalmore whiskies. Still, quite smooth with a sweet palate. medium finish. goes well with a cigar.
