Dailuaine 46 Year Old 1973 - Old & Rare Platinum (Hunter Laing)
We've got some properly well-aged Dailuaine single malt right here from Hunter Laing! This is a 46 year old expression from the distillery, which was distilled in 1973 and left to age in a single cask until 2019, when it was bottled with an outturn of 231 bottles for the Old & Rare Platinum range - we can all agree that it is definitely both old and rare.
Tasting Note by The Producer
This golden whisky has a tropical nose of mango, guava, honey, apple blossom and Christmas markets. The palate is sweet with notes of pineapple, figs, maraschino cherries and caramel sauce, with beeswax, almonds, and a herbal note. The finish is long, dry and satisfying with lingering sweet oak.
