Single cask single malt from the Dailuaine Distillery, independently bottled by the ever-superb Signatory. This one was aged in a refill hogshead for 23 years - from May 1997 to November 2020 - until it was bottled up for the Cask Strength Collection with an outturn of 249 bottles.
Gingerbread and buttered hot cross buns, with a smidge of marzipan thrown in the mix.
Menthol, earthy pear skins, slightly nutty at points, cinder toffee.
Oaky and warming, with another orchard fruit touch right on the end.
