CASK NA NOLLAIG (Curious Whiskies)
What have we here? It's a mysterious Islay blended malt brought to us by Curious Whiskies, and what a festive bottle it is! Just 200 bottles, released for Christmas 2025 – you can expect generous notes of Port and peat smoke in this merry little dram.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Plum skins, black cherry, burnt sugar, and smouldering peat embers, followed by mulled wine spice and a flash of sea spray.
Palate
Thick Port richness meets oily smoke with notes of fig jam, dark chocolate, sugared walnuts, and redcurrant syrup. The texture stays weighty and warming with a steady hum of peat.
Finish
Fig, syrup, and heavy wine balance against full smoke.
