Gud taste
I think the quality of Crown royal is gone probably because of over production. It tastes harsh and burns. If you insist on Canadian blend try CC or VO. They are now smoother.

I like Crown as a switch up from bourbon. Less flavors but still good. It is the lightest flavor of any whisk(e)y in my opinion
I have tasted just about everjonathan main line single select, with other more niche brands such as Langs Brothers, Bussmills etc, but must say it's gentle, smooth taste, with a punchy full bodied taste, which leave sweet delicate notes on the tongue keeps it my all time favourite.
