Craigellachie 12yo 2006

A single malt Scotch from Craigellachie Distillery that was bottled to mark 20 years of the fantastic Old Malt Cask range by Hunter Laing. It was matured in a cask that was filled in May 2006 and cracked open in August 2018. It was then bottled without any additional colouring or chill filtration at 50% ABV with an outturn of 894 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Through smoke and rock pools there are waxy orange peels, vanilla-rich oak and a touch of dark fruits.

Palate Thick caramel and grilled pineapple are most prominent. Brown sugar, garden herbs and orchard fruits form the backdrop.

Finish Mineral-y dryness and baking spice.
