Craigellachie 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 16795) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)
Sherried single malt from Craigellachie, distilled in June 2006 and left to age in a single sherry butt. After 12 years of rest, the whisky was kicked out of its wooden home and bottled up by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range. 565 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Strawberry laces, cinnamon pastries and a touch of rock pool salinity.
Palate
Malty at first, with layers of chocolate peanuts and dried berries developing.
Finish
Peppery and warming on the finish.
