A well sherried Craigellachie, what a treat! The Speysider was distilled in 2006 and left to mature in a single sherry butt for the next 12 years. 2019 finally came around, and it was time for the single malt to be bottled at cask strength by Hunter Laing for the First Editions series, in a release of 248 bottles.
Floral notes and ripe fruits, namely berries, with fresh coffee, caramel and honeycomb balanced by tart citrus and rich dark chocolate.
Creamy milk chocolate with a drizzle of treacle alongside sweet barley notes and lemon zest. Freshly baked biscuits, slightly burnt sugar and red fruits.
A pinch of tobacco alongside long warming notes of cocoa, orange peel and toffee.
