This eleven year old Cragganmore was bottled by Douglas Laing for the 20cl range of their Old Malt Cask brand. These are known as the 'Advance Samples' and are designed to replicate the sample bottles the Laing brothers are sent to try when selecting the casks they may later bottle.
Nose: A floral style with sweet vanilla notes and suggestions of oak tannin.
Palate: Parma violets, rhubarb and custard.
Finish: The finish is creamy with a combination of vanilla pod, cumin and nutmeg.
Overall: A vanilla focussed Cragganmore with plenty else going on.
