This is the first batch of Cotswolds single malt English whisky That Boutique-y Whisky Company's has ever bottled! The Cotswolds Distillery has been creating fine spirits in the great English countryside with locally grown barley since 2014 and this delightful young whisky should prove no exception. The label art features the quaint and picturesque distillery on a beautifully sunny day – and look – a familiar, friendly face is waving to you! Although, it does look like there might be something sinister under that hedge...
Batch 1 is a release of 1,785 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Butterscotch and brown sugar are followed by soft nectarines, apricots and caramelised Seville orange marmalade. Marzipan, creamy vanilla and a little ginger develop.
Rich malt, oaky tannins and winter spices lead. There’s also plenty of sweetness from toffee apples, dark red fruits and golden syrup, and a touch of pink grapefruit bitterness.
Dark treacle toffee and cloudy apple juice, with a hint of dried grass.
Beautifully deep and sumptuous.
$33.93 - $100.03
Creamy citrus, and lots of spice, helps with the high abv. No reason for the low review IMO - very nice dram with a good finish.
Incredible! Marmalade and Christmas spices. Super smooth. My favourite whisky I've tried this year. I would highly recommend.
Not a fan, overtones of nail polish if you ask me
